We have ambitious growth plans and are looking for an inspiring Engineering Leader to drive the scaling of our application architecture and tech teams. We work with some of the largest retail clients here in Australia which include Woolworths, BWS, Dan Murphy’s, Coles, Terry White Chemmart just to name a few.
The Yello Platform provides retailers unprecedented access to data and control of last mile delivery and has proven to help businesses not only improve their delivery service but also enable them to provide a delivery on demand. Retailers are attracted to Drive Yello as they not only get access to innovative technology but a marketplace of couriers to help them provide the convenience customers are demanding.
The Role:
The Head of Software Engineering is responsible for building, leading, and empowering a software development team focused on crafting beautifully innovative and functional software users can't live without.
The Head of Software Engineering is all about technical leadership, management, internal communication, and delivery — getting the product out the door, while ensuring the team is hitting their mark. A Head of Software Engineering is a great manager and a great team builder. Your job is to make everyone in the engineering organization successful and he or she needs to fix the issues that are getting in the way of success.
As part of the Executive Team, working closely with the Founding CEO and CTO, you will set the tone and cadence for delivery; working cross-functionally with the leadership team (Product, Design, Marketing, Sales, Operations, Member Experience, etc.) to further scale the Yello Technology Platform, build new product offerings and help Yello become a global industry leader.
The ideal candidate has proven success in building and delivering enterprise-class software/systems, managing large global teams with multiple products & technology platforms, with strong communication, change management, and leadership skills. Background knowledge in SaaS, Mobile Solutions, and Cloud deployments are essential.
